Blog Circle Photo Challenge–Perspective

I have joined another group of women photographers.  We are in a Photography Challenge Circle.  Every month, a challenge is given and we must decide for ourselves how to interpret the challenge, photograph the challenge, and then write about our challenge.  We will link to each other to create a circle.

For this month, we were to photograph:  Perspective.  What do you think about when you hear that word?  Many things come to my mind when I hear the word perspective.  I think of lines converging in the distance to a point, ie: a fence line.  It could mean putting the thoughts and ideas in your head into clear vision, ie: I gained perspective on the situation after talking it over with an expert.  It could also mean how you view something, ie: you could see a tree by standing beside it, looking up through the branches from the base of the trunk and by flying overhead.

I have decided to use the last one, sort of.  I also incorporated another challenge for myself: self photography.  I rarely ever use my camera to take pictures of myself.  I have a remote, but have only used it once.  I had to look at the book to figure out the self-timer!  So I challenged myself to take pictures of myself from a different perspective.  And, I am working really hard at getting my images to come out of the camera without having to do any corrections in PS.  All but one of the images are straight out of the camera.  No post processing other that cropping and a white balance correction done on one image.  There!  My double or do I say triple challenge is complete!

My day:

Waiting for coffee

Working in the barn:

Taking a shower

Getting myself beautiful

Working on my computer, well probably not working, just playing.

I did iron today

And I played with the dogs

Please follow the circle around to see how others in my group interpret the word PerspectiveKate is next in line.  Thanks for stopping by!

  • Deirdre - I so enjoyed these…something so joyful about them. My family cracked up when I had to google how to use the timer to get a family shot on Easter because I too had forgotten (even though the camera feels like part of my body at this point).
